About the piece:

An art song written for the 2022 Wintergreen Music Festival LEAD Cooperative. This song uses an excerpt from the poem,“The Light of Stars” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:

The night is come, but not too soon;

 And sinking silently,

All silently, the little moon

 Drops down behind the sky.
