About the piece:

Fanfare and Overture (2020), an exciting and brilliant concert opener, the piece features two main themes with fragments from each passed around and explored using varying colors and textures. These two main themes, one of them introduced in the trumpets and trombones, which symbolizes triumph and bravery, and the more bouncy, lyrical melody in the stringsfurther on in the piece, symbolizing jubilation and delight. These two figures interact throughout the A and B sections before finally combining for the final section.
